I am a self-published dark romance and horror/psychological thriller author, lifelong reader, and a professional smart ass with a slightly unhealthy love of fictional chaos.

I’ve been writing and working with books for years, both as an author and behind the scenes helping other writers strengthen their stories. Over time, I discovered that one of my favorite parts of the writing process wasn’t just bringing life to my own stories, but being able to help other writers figure out how to make theirs stronger.

I love the messy parts of storytelling. Finding the plot hole hiding five chapters back, figuring out why a scene isn’t quite landing, questioning a character’s questionable life choices, and yes, occasionally declaring war on unnecessary commas and repeated paragraphs starting with “I.”

As an indie author myself, I understand how personal it is to hand someone your manuscript. You poured your entire heart and soul, hours, ideas, emotions, (and probably a concerning amount of caffeine) into those words. My goal isn’t to take your story away from you or to make it sound like mine.

It’s to help you make it more yours.

  • Editing shouldn’t erase what makes your writing yours. I’ll point out problems, offer suggestions, ask questions, leave unhinged comments on your manuscript, and help strengthen it while respecting your individual voice and style.

  • I’m not just hunting for commas. (Completely) Depending on the editing service you choose, I’m looking at everything from character development and pacing to clarity, structure, grammar, and other fine little details or issues that can pull a reader out of the story.
• HONEST FEEDBACK
  • Sometimes a scene needs work. Sometimes an *intimate* scene doesn’t make sense. Sometimes the thing you were convinced was brilliant at 3 a.m. needs another look. I’ll tell you, but also work with you to figure out what to do about it.

  • Professional editing shouldn’t feel completely out of reach for independent authors. I keep my services and prices accessible and offer payment plans to help split the cost. Because we ALL know how expensive quality editing is.
